How Milzet Holdings (Pty) Ltd collects, uses and protects your personal information, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

1. Who we are

This website is operated by Milzet Holdings (Pty) Ltd ("Milzet", "we", "us"), which trades as Milzet Institute and Milzet Consulting. Our head office is at 121 Eloff Street Extension, Teba Park, Selby, Johannesburg, South Africa. For the purposes of POPIA, Milzet is the responsible party for personal information collected through this website.

2. What personal information we collect

Information you give us

When you send an enquiry through our website, we collect:

  • your full name;
  • your email address or phone number;
  • the service you are interested in; and
  • anything you choose to include in your message.

If you contact us by phone or email, we keep a record of that correspondence. Please don't include sensitive information (such as ID numbers, health information or financial details) in an enquiry.

Information collected automatically

We use privacy-friendly website analytics to understand how many people visit our pages. This analytics does not use cookies, does not track you across other websites and does not identify you personally. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) for security and to keep the website running.

3. Why we use your information

We use your personal information only to:

  • respond to your enquiry and give you information about the services you asked about;
  • follow up on your enquiry, if you'd like us to;
  • keep our website secure and working properly; and
  • meet our legal and regulatory obligations.

We process enquiry information with your consent, which you give when you send the form, and because it is necessary to take steps you have asked for. We will not use your details for marketing unless you have asked us to, and we never sell your personal information.

4. Who we share it with

We only share your information with service providers (operators) who help us run this website, and only as far as they need it to do so:

  • Formspree — delivers enquiry form submissions to our inbox.
  • Cloudflare — hosts this website and provides our cookie-free analytics.

These providers are bound by agreements that require them to keep your information secure and confidential. We may also disclose information where the law requires us to.

Transfers outside South Africa

Some of these providers store or process information on servers outside South Africa. Where this happens, we make sure the transfer is allowed under section 72 of POPIA — for example, because the provider is subject to laws or binding agreements that give your information a level of protection substantially similar to POPIA.

5. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry information only for as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up, or for as long as the law requires. After that, it is securely deleted or de-identified.

6. How we protect it

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access — including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, restricted access to enquiries, and reputable service providers. If we become aware of a security compromise affecting your information, we will notify you and the Information Regulator as POPIA requires.

7. Your rights

Under POPIA you have the right to:

  • ask whether we hold personal information about you, and request a copy of it;
  • ask us to correct or update information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • ask us to delete information we no longer have a lawful reason to keep;
  • object to us processing your information, and withdraw your consent at any time; and
  • lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.

8. Cookies

This website does not use cookies for tracking or advertising. Links to our social media pages take you to third-party websites, which have their own privacy policies.
